Taylor Vandever is the President and CEO of CRV Group, Inc. He began working in the appraisal business in 2010 and received his Certified General Tennessee state license in 2014.
Taylor earned the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2018, which is recognized as one of the highest marks of excellence in the field of real estate valuation and analysis. MAI Designated members are known for their commitment to advanced education, higher ethical requirements, and elevated expectations, and to the appraisal profession as a whole. The MAI designation is held by professionals who can provide a wide range of services relating to all types of real property.
Taylor is one of only two MAI designated appraisers in Wilson County and the only MAI in Lebanon. According to the Vice President of the Appraisal Institute, he is 1 of 100 or less MAI’s in the United States that also hold a Doctor of Jurisprudence (Law Degree). Taylor has had a license to practice law in the State of Tennessee since 2012.
Taylor has attended LDAC (Leadership Development Advisory Council) in Washington DC in 2018 an 2019 and plans to attend the 3rd and final term in 2021. LDAC is a program established by the Appraisal Institute, in which industry leaders are chosen by their local chapters to represent the appraisal profession on a national level. A significant amount of time is spent lobbying Congress on Capitol Hill regarding issues that impact the profession on a national and international scale. Participants in LDAC also collaborate to formulate solutions to problems and challenges faced by valuation professionals on a daily basis.
Taylor is truly passionate about real estate. He loves looking at maps and attempting to understand what makes each property unique. Taylor has an ability to precisely identify issues and effectively communicate solutions to complex problems for any property type. His expertise is in subdivision development. He also has an extensive background in all multifamily types, multitenant retail, adaptive re-use, development land and market analysis.
Taylor is also an Affiliate Real Estate Broker with Agee & Johnson Real Estate & Auction in Lebanon and has a License to Practice Law in Tennessee. Taylor is a 2011 graduate of The Nashville School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, a 2007 graduate of The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a 2003 graduate of Lebanon High School. He has a background in commercial real estate, commercial construction, and the legal field. He is a member of the Wilson County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Appraisal Institute.
Taylor and his wife Maggie reside in Lebanon with daughters Mary Hyatt (2015) and Campbell (2018). They enjoy traveling to 30A, riding their golf cart and Ole Miss Sports. Taylor has been a resident of Lebanon for over 30 years and is actively involved with supporting the Lebanon High School football team, Friendship Christian School and Wilson United Soccer.(profile)
